Match no. 19 of the IPL 2024 will host a RR vs RCB clash on Saturday in Jaipur.

The next game of the IPL 2024 will be a clash between two strong batting units. This will be played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday evening at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

RR are one of two teams who have not lost a game this season so far. They have won all three games and are at second position in the points table. They have a great chance to jump to the top of the table if they win here.

On the other hand, it is a very important game for RCB, as they already lost three games this season. If they lose here, then they will be in a must-win situation in the remaining games. Hence, they need to pull up their socks and make sure that they win this match.

RR vs RCB: Head-to-Head

There have been a total of 30 matches played between the two teams until now. Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won 15 games in total, and Rajasthan Royals have won 12; three games have also ended with no result.

RR vs RCB: Top five player battles to watch

1. Virat Kohli vs Trent Boult

The biggest battle will be with the new ball when Trent Boult is up against Virat Kohli. We all know what Boult did against Mumbai Indians and how he changed the game in his very first spell. He can do something similar on Saturday as well. He has dismissed Virat six times in international cricket. In the IPL, Boult has dismissed Virat once, while the batter has scored 60 off 47 balls.

2. Jos Buttler vs Mohammed Siraj

Jos Buttler will be up against Mohammed Siraj in the powerplay; that will be another battle to watch out for. Both stars will look to get the better of each other to provide a good start to the team. These two have crossed paths many times in international cricket. However, in the IPL, Siraj has dismissed Buttler two times, and the batter has scored 41 runs off 29 balls in this battle.

3. Glenn Maxwell vs Yuzvendra Chahal

Former RCB star Yuzvendra Chahal is now with RR, and he has enjoyed bowling for his former team in the IPL. He will be up against the dangerous Glenn Maxwell in the middle overs. Chahal has dismissed the Australian star six times in international cricket. Even in the IPL, he has enjoyed bowling against Maxwell. Chahal has dismissed Maxwell three times in the IPL, where the batter has scored 65 off 46 balls at a strike rate of 141.3.

4. Riyan Parag vs Yash Dayal

Riyan Parag has been in the form of his life and has scored the most runs for his team. He is also the second-highest scorer in the IPL 2024 after Virat Kohli. Riyan has played important knocks in all three games, so RCB should stop him from scoring runs. Yash Dayal can be a good match-up against him. The left-arm pacer has bowled well this season and has used his pace very well. He will be bowling at Riyan in the middle and final overs.

5. Faf du Plessis vs Nandre Burger

One South African battle will be seen in the RR vs RCB clash on Saturday. It will be in the powerplay when Nandre Burger bowls to Faf du Plessis. The RCB skipper has not been in the best of form in the IPL 2024, but he can get going with one good inning. But Burger is in good form with the ball and has a swing, pace, and bounce that can trouble any batter.
