Jharkhand T20 League 2026 is set to kickstart from June 10.

The inaugural season of the Jharkhand T20 league will start from June 10. A total of six franchises will be clashing for the title. The auction took place on May 30 where a pool of cricketers were bid for by different franchises.

The President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary, and the Joint Honorary Secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association graced the auction ceremony by their presence.

The six franchises namely – Ranchi Titans, Jamshedpur Steelers, Chota Nagpur Royals, Koylanchal Super Kings, Dhanbad Diamonds, and Santhal Strikers; bid for Jharkhand’s established and emerging stars.

Jharkhand T20 league is an impressive platform for the young bloods in the state to express their talent and reach the higher stage. Robin Minz, Ishan Kishan, Kumar Kushagra were among the top picks in the auction.

5. Virat Singh

Chota Nagpur Royals put their highest amount on Virat Singh, who was bought for 13 lakhs. Virat is an experienced top-order batsman who has played nearly 100 T20 matches, scoring more than 2800 runs.

He was crucial in Jharkhand’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2025 campaign, where he scored 382 runs in 11 matches. He has also been the leading run-getter in the history of the tournament with more 2800 runs under his belt.

4. Sushant Mishra

Dhanbad Diamonds bid their highest amount of 11 lakhs on the star left-arm pacer of Jharkhand, Sushant Mishra. He has a reputation of striking early with the new ball. He has variations under his belt with the ability to hit the deck and bowl disciplined lines.

He was the joint-highest wicket-taker of the SMAT 2025, with 22 wickets in 11 matches. He picked three crucial wickets in the final of the tournament, which helped Jharkhand lift the trophy.

3. Anukul Roy

The highly reliable left-arm orthodox spinner and hard-hitting all-rounder got picked by Jamshedpur Steelers for 4 lakhs. He is renowned for his control and ability to pick crucial wickets and contribute valuable runs lower down the order with the bat.

The costliest pick of the season, Robin Minz was picked by Koylanchal Super Kings for 15.25 lakhs. He is regarded as Jharkhand’s most exciting young talents, who possesses immense power-hitting ability as a wicket-keeper batsman.

The star from Mumbai Indians, also played an important hand in the SMAT tournament with his vital 58 off 27 against Rajasthan, and 31 off 14 in the Final. His clean ball-striking and fearless temperament is what impressed the scouts.

1. Ishan Kishan

India’s star wicket-keeper batsman, Ishan Kishan was picked by Santhal Strikers for 14.7 lakhs. He has represented India across formats, and recently featured in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which India won.

SMAT’s leading run-scorer and the title-winning captain amassed more than 500 runs in 10 innings with a strike rate nearing 200. He scored a scintillating century in the final in merely 49 deliveries. He finished the tournament with 33 sixes to his name, and has the joint-most hundreds in the tournament’s history (5).
