The India vs West Indies ODIs will begin from September 27.
India are set for another important home assignment as the West Indies are scheduled to tour the country for a white-ball series. The IND vs WI series will feature three ODIs and five T20Is, with the ODI series starting on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram.
The upcoming IND vs WI ODI series will also be an important part of India’s preparation for the 2027 ODI World Cup. With the team looking to build the perfect squad for the tournament, the selectors have included a mix of experienced players and some fresh faces.
India will be playing this series with a few absences as several players are involved in the Asian Games. Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Bumrah and other regular white-ball players will not be part of the ODI squad.
Therefore, this has opened the door for some players to return to the team and showcase their skills against a quality side.

Ravindra Jadeja has earned a recall to the ODI team after missing India’s series against England. The experienced all-rounder will add more value in both the batting and bowling departments.
2. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj has also returned to the squad. He will be part of the pace attack alongside Prasidh Krishna and Gurnoor Brar, with Jasprit Bumrah unavailable due to his Asian Games commitment.
4. Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy has also been moved from India’s Asian Games squad to the ODI team. His inclusion comes with Hardik Pandya unavailable for the West Indies series.
5. Auqib Nabi (Maiden call-up)
India have also included two players who have received their maiden ODI call-ups. Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi has been rewarded for his performances in domestic performance and County Cricket.
6. Naman Dhir (Maiden call-up)
Naman Dhir has also been included in the 15-member squad. The all-rounder will get his opportunity in the Indian ODI setup after his impressive performances in Punjab domestic cricket.
7. Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad has returned to the ODI setup and has been included in the 15-member squad. With Shreyas Iyer unavailable due to his Asian Games duties, Gaikwad is expected to be India’s No.4 in XI.
8. Dhruv Jurel
Dhruv Jurel has made his way back into India’s ODI squad for the West Indies series. The wicketkeeper-batter was not part of the squad for the ODI series against England.
Jurel gives India another wicketkeeping option in the squad, with KL Rahul also available behind the stumps.
9. Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal has also returned to India’s ODI squad for the three-match series against the West Indies. Jaiswal will provide another option at the top of the order for India.
