Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squared off in match 3 of the Indian Premier League 2026 on Monday (March 30). RR crushed CSK by eight wickets like a walk in the park, which took place at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to field first in the clash. Right from the start, CSK suffered a massive batting collapse. Openers Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad got out for six runs each as CSK lost four batters in the powerplay.
Till the 10th over, CSK lost six wickets and were nine down before reaching 100 runs on the board. Eventually, they were bowled out for just 127 runs, with a highest score of 43 runs by Jamie Overton.
Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger led a fantastic pace attack for RR, picking two wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja also got two crucial wickets.
In the chase, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (52) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (38*) etched an opening stand of 75 runs. Royal chased down the target by eight wickets in just 12.1 overs, registering a massive victory in their opening game. For his two wickets, Burger was adjudged Player of the Match.
