Three thrilling matches took place in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 on Monday, February 9. In the first clash, Scotland crushed debutant Italy by 73 runs. Smacking a mammoth 207/4 in the first innings, Scotland bowled out Italy for just 134 runs.
In the afternoon game, Zimbabwe outplayed Oman by eight wickets like a walk in the park. They bundled out Oman for just 103 runs with three wickets each by Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani, and Brad Evans. Later, opener Brian Bennett (48*) propelled Zimbabwe to victory with his unbeaten knock.
In the third match, South Africa displayed excellent teamwork in batting against Canada, posting a massive score of 213/4. Navneet Dhaliwal scored a fifty for Canada, but they were far away from victory, reaching 156/8 till the final ball.
Hence, the Proteas registered a victory by a huge margin of 57 runs after posting the highest team total in the tournament. Lungi Ngidi was adjudged Player of the Match for his four-wicket haul.
