India Women beat Bangladesh Women by 5 wickets in match 23 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

India Women and Bangladesh Women clashed in the 23rd match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Thursday, June 25. The encounter took place at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, in which Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first.

Nigar Sultana & Co. failed to post a big total in the first innings, reaching 136/8 in 20 overs. Juairiya Ferdous (33) and Nigar Sultana (32) were the top run-getters for the side as none of the batters could score a fifty.

Radha Yadav, playing her first match of the tournament, took 3 wickets, helping India restrict Bangladesh to a low score. Shree Charani continued with her brilliant form and clinched two scalps.

In the chase, India Women lost Smriti Mandhana cheaply for 8 runs, but Shafali Varma (53) hit a magnificent fifty. Jemimah Rodrigues scored a crucial knock of 26 runs to help the team win within 16.5 overs. Verma was adjudged player of the match for her match-winning fifty.

Group A

Australia Women are still at the top of the Group A points table with eight points and remain unbeaten in four consecutive matches. India Women follow them with six points. South Africa and Bangladesh Women are next with four points each.
