RCB-W recorded an 8-wicket win over UPW-W to secure a place in the final of the WPL 2026.

After two straight defeats, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have turned to winning ways. On Thursday, they beat UP Warriorz Women in the game to end the group stage at the top of the points table. With this win, they also secured a place in the final of the WPL 2026.

This win came after an all-round display of skills by Smriti Mandhana and her team. RCB-W won yet another toss and elected to bowl first. UPW-W gave Deepti Sharma an opportunity to open with captain Meg Lanning.

It did work for them as the duo added an opening stand of 74 runs in 8.1 overs. But that was only partnership that UPW-W had in the entire innings. They kept losing wickets after that and only managed 143/8 in the first innings. Deepti scored 55 off 43 and Lanning scored 41 off 30. For RCB, Nadine de Klerk took 4/22 with the ball.

Chasing the score, RCB-W had a dream start with a 108 opening stand. Grace Harris scored a 25-ball fifty and scored 75 off 37 balls, with 13 fours and two sixes.

Smriti remained unbeaten at 54 off 27 balls, with 8 fours and 2 sixes. RCB-W reached 147/2 in 13.1 overs and recorded an 8-wicket win to book a place in the final.

It turned out to be an easy win for RCB-W on Thursday against UPW-W. They earned two crucial points and now have 12 points. They not only just finished the group stage at the top but also qualified for the final. After the defeat, UPW-W are at the bottom.

GG-W are still in second spot with 8 points. They are one win away from qualifying from the next round. MI-W and DC-W have six points each, and they are in the third and fourth spots on the table.
