Another game and another defeat for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League 2026. Ajinkya Rahane and co. suffered a five-wicket defeat against the Gujarat Titans in Match 25 at Narendra Modi Stadium.
This was KKR‘s fifth defeat this season, and they are now on the verge of elimination from the tournament. The only positive for KKR was runs from their most expensive pick, Cameron Green. He scored 79 off 55 balls and took his team to 180 runs.
However, it was a below-par score, and Gujarat chased it down with ease. Sai Sudharsan (22 off 16) and captain Shubman Gill added 57 runs for the first wicket. Jos Buttler also played a cameo of 25 off 15. It was Shubman, who played a match-winning knock of 86 off 50 and took GT to their third successive win.
