Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 47 runs in the Indian Premier League 2026 on Tuesday, April 21. The clash, which took place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, was a one-sided affair where Sunrisers dominated with both bat and ball.
SRH opener Abhishek Sharma scored an impeccable century, smacking 135 runs off 68 deliveries. DC bowlers completely failed to overpower him, as he remained unbeaten till the end. With 37 runs each by Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen, Sunrisers posted a gigantic total of 242/2.
DC got off to a brilliant start, scoring 100 runs in nine overs despite losing Pathum Nissanka (8) cheaply. However, they were helpless against the gigantic target, and eventually succumbed to the pressure. Eshan Malinga clinched a four-wicket haul while Harsh Dubey took three wickets, restricting DC at 195/9.
