Match 48 of the Indian Premier League 2026 saw a low-scoring clash between the Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. The game was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, where DC won the toss and surprisingly decided to bat first.

They had an average start. They lost half of their team for 69 runs in 11 overs. Tristan Stubbs (38 off 31) and Sameer Rizvi (40* off 24) added 65 runs for the sixth wicket, taking Delhi Capitals to 155/7 in the first innings.

CSK also had an average start, losing in-form Ruturaj Gaikwad (6 off 13 balls). Urvil Patel (17 off 9 balls) also dismissed cheaply after hitting two brilliant sixes. After that, an unbeaten 114-run stand between Sanju Samson and Kartik Sharma sealed the deal for Chennai Super Kings.

They reached 159/2 in 17.3 overs to win the game and earn two points. Samson remained unbeaten on 87 off 52 balls, while Kartik scored a 31-ball 41.

The result of the DC vs CSK game didn’t change much on the points table. Punjab Kings are at the top with 13 points. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Gujarat Titans followed them. All these teams have 12 points each.

CSK have added two more points and are sixth on the table, followed by DC. Kolkata Knight Riders have seven points, Mumbai Indians have six, and Lucknow Super Giants are at the bottom with four points.

His teammate Heinrich Klaasen is third on the list with 425 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is fourth with 404 runs. With an unbeaten 87 against DC, Sanju Samson has moved to the fifth spot with 402 runs.
