Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by four wickets in a low-scoring clash in the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 20. After being asked to bat first, Mumbai failed to put up a fighting total.
None of the MI batters could score a half-century. Corbin Bosch scored an unbeaten 32 runs to take the scoreboard to 147/8.
KKR bowlers executed brilliant teamwork to dominate MI batters. Saurabh Dubey and Cameron Green picked two wickets each in the powerplay to dismantle MI’s top order.
In the chase, KKR lost three wickets early. However, Rovman Powell (40) and Manish Pandey (45) etched a crucial 64-run partnership for the fourth wicket. The partnership set the platform for KKR’s victory. With the win, KKR have kept their playoffs hopes alive.
