Prabhsimran Singh got his maiden T20I call-up in Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India's squad for the Asian Games 2023.
With the packed Indian cricket schedule coming up, the Men in Blue will play three big tournaments in the next four to five months. They will play in the Asia Cup 2023, which will start between August 30 and September 17. Then, there will be the 2023 ODI World Cup at home between October 5 and November. The Asian Games 2023 are scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China, between September 23 and October 8. Prabhsimran said, "When I got the call-up for the Asian Games, I got really very happy. I told my mom first and then my Uncle. Everyone was happy, and it was a proud moment for the parents. But it also happens that I have taken one step ahead and will have to do more hard work and not let this opportunity go. Whenever I get the chance, I will try to win games for the team."
He said that as a kid, his goal was to represent India, and it was a proud moment when he came out to know about his selection and informed his mother and family, and everyone was happy. He stated that he will look to do well, win games for the team, and learn more. He also said that he is very calm, but while batting, he loves taking on the bowlers because it is full of risk and also has rewards. Prabhsimran Singh also said that when the situation demands it, he plays accordingly but normally plays aggressively.
Prabhsimran Singh added that he never thinks about the fear of failure because he has come here with the same approach and will carry on. He also talked about his unbelievable flying catch in the Deodhar Trophy. Prabhsimran Singh concluded that he always tries to learn from the big players whenever he shares a dressing room with them. Even in the IPL, when he meet big players from other teams, he always tries to talk to them and ask them things.
