Karnataka's batter Prakhar Chaturvedi slams 400 in Cooch Behar Trophy final

Prakhar Chaturvedi played a magnificent knock against Mumbai in Cooch Behar Trophy final.

Karnataka U19 batter Prakhar Chaturvedi has become a talking point in the cricket field with an outstanding knock against Mumbai in Cooch Behar Trophy finals. Prakhar Chaturvedi broke long-standing record of Yuvraj Singh and slammed 400 runs in the finals of the tournament. Opening batter Prakhar Chaturvedi led his side to a mammoth total in the finals.

Prakhar Chaturvedi now holds the record for highest individual score in a tournament finals. Prakhar broke 24 year old record of Yuvraj Singh. Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh played a mammoth innings of 358 runs against Bihar U19 team in the Cooch Behar Trophy finals in 2000. Yuvraj Singh played a special innings against Bihar and became India’s new age star.

Prakhar added 109 for the opening wicket along with Karthik S U. Prakhar then went on to add a marathon stand for the second wicket along with Harshil Dharmani. Number 3 batter Dharmani scored 169 runs in 228 balls for Karnataka.

Prakhar Chaturvedi scored 404 runs in 638 balls. Chaturvedi smashed 46 fours and three sixes in his innings. Maharashtra’s Vijay Zol holdz the record for highest ever individual score in the Cooch Behar Trophy. Former India U19 skipper Vijay Zol scored 451 runs against Assam in the 2011-12 edition of the tournament. Karnataka scored 890 runs in in 223 overs.

Mumbai U19 scored 380 in their first innings in the Cooch Behar Trophy finals played at KSCA Navule Stadium. Indian head coach Rahul Dravid’s son Samit Dravid scored 22 runs in 46 balls with two fours and one six. Prakhar Chaturvedi entertained the crowd at KSCA Navule Stadium and etched his names in everyone’s memory with a splendid knock.
