Prasidh Krishna didn’t complete his full quota of overs in second IND vs WI ODI.

India are set to play the final match of their three-match ODI series against West Indies on October 3. The series has already been decided, with Shubman Gill‘s team taking an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the first two matches.

The first ODI in Thiruvananthapuram saw India register a comfortable win, while the second match in Guwahati had a high-scoring game. India also completed their highest successful run chase in ODI cricket in the second match.

With the series already in the bag, India will now look to finish the tour with another win. The third ODI will be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.

However, the hosts have suffered an injury setback ahead of the final match, with fast bowler Prasidh Krishna ruled out of the game.

According to a Cricbuzz report, Prasidh Krishna is likely to miss the third ODI against West Indies after suffering a hamstring injury.

The fast bowler could also miss some games after the final ODI. However, the exact details of his injury are not clear yet. It is also not known how long Krishna will be out. India have not announced his replacement for the third ODI yet.

Krishna bowled only five overs in the second ODI and finished with figures of 1/45. In the first ODI, he bowled 10 overs and took two wickets for 60 runs.

Krishna’s absence means India will have to make a change to their bowling attack for the final ODI. Mohammed Siraj could come into the playing XI in his place.

India have already secured the ODI series after winning the first two matches. They will now aim to finish the series with a 3-0 win.

The third ODI could also give India a chance to try a different bowling combination, especially with series already in bag. For West Indies, the match will be an opportunity to avoid a series whitewash after losing the first two games.

When is the third ODI between India and West Indies?

The third ODI will be played after India won the first two matches of the series.

Will Prasidh Krishna play the third ODI?

No, Krishna is expected to miss the third ODI because of a hamstring injury.
