Prithvi Shaw hit the second-fastest double ton in Ranji Trophy Elite group history.
Prithvi Shaw has returned to form in magnificent style, blasting a breathtaking double century for Maharashtra in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2025-26 group encounter against Chandigarh at a record-breaking pace at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh.
At the end of the previous season, Shaw, who made his Ranji Trophy debut for Mumbai against Tamil Nadu in 2017, left the most successful team in the Ranji Trophy history to join Maharashtra.
This is only his second match for his new domestic team, Maharashtra, and he had begun on an ominous note, scoring a duck in his first outing against Kerala. In the second innings, he scored 75 runs from 102 balls and hammered 7 fours during his stay at the crease.

And Shaw made the opportunity count against Chandigarh as he slammed the third-fastest double century in the Ranji Trophy history. With this feat, he has written his name in the history books.
