The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in England.
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will take place in June and July. The tournament will be hosted by England and feature a battle among 12 teams for the title.
The 12 teams are divided into two groups of six teams each. India, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, Netherlands, and Bangladesh are placed in Group A. West Indies, Ireland, England, New Zealand, Scotland, and Sri Lanka are part of Group B.
England Women will clash with Sri Lanka Women in the tournament opener on June 12. On the other hand, the Indian Women will play their first game against Pakistan Women on June 14. The tournament will conclude on July 5 with the final at Lord’s.
ICC announces prize money for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the prize money for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The total prize money is $8,764,615, a 10% increase from the previous tournament in 2024.
The winners will earn $2,340,000 while the runners-up will get $1,170,000. Both losing semi-finalist teams will be awarded $6,75,000.
According to the format, only the top two teams from each group will book a berth in the semi-finals. The winners of the semis will battle in the final at Lord’s.
New Zealand Women are the defending champions of the tournament, who defeated South Africa in the final of the previous edition in 2024. Due to the home advantage, England will be a strong contender for the title.
India Women will be in focus following their victory in Women’s ODI World Cup last year. They will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur and aim for their maiden title in the tournament’s history.
