Yashasvi Jaiswal was back in the hut after scoring 87 runs off 107 balls.

Indian Cricket Team batter Cheteshwar Pujara shared his take on Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s innings in the ongoing second test against the England Cricket Team. He said that the bowlers need to bowl to him around off-stump, on a good length and wait for him to make a mistake.

Indian Cricket Team opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had a brilliant outing with the bat in the first innings of the ongoing game against the England Cricket Team. The game between the two teams is underway at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, which has seen a magnificent batting effort from the visitors.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was among the shining lights for India with the bat in the first innings. The Southpaw, who slammed a ton in the first game, carried his good form and slammed a fifty, helping his team have a great start with the bat, in what is an important clash for the side.

Yashasvi Jaiswal looked a bit tentative at the start, but once he had his eyes set in, he made sure that he cashed in on that. He was all set for his ton, but a false shot saw him getting out just a few runs ahead of his ton.

Wait for him to make a mistake – Cheteshwar Pujara on Yashasvi Jaiswal

Cheteshwar Pujara, who is one of the commentators in the ongoing India’s tour of England 2025, talked about how bowlers can trouble Yashasvi Jaiswal.

“You’ve got to bowl the right length; around off-stump, on a good length. Keep doing that and wait for him to make a mistake,” Pujara told Sony Sports.

Cheteshwar Pujara also pointed out how difficult it is to get Yashasvi Jaiswal out. He added that the margin of error while bowling to him is very low. He added:

“Early on, it seemed like he was trying too hard to play shots, but once he settled, the kind of strokes he played were outstanding. Once he gets through that initial half-hour, he’s in complete control. He doesn’t miss scoring opportunities, and that makes it very difficult for a bowling team.

“If you pitch it up, he drives well. If it’s short outside off-stump, he cuts well. If you try bumpers, he pulls confidently. The margin of error for bowlers is incredibly small against him.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal was back in the hut after scoring 87 runs off 107 balls. The batter slammed 13 fours during his stay at the crease. With his wicket, the Indian Cricket Team lost their third wicket for just 161 runs.
