Rachin Ravindra has been key member for New Zealand since last few years.
India will begin their long tour of New Zealand next month, with the two teams scheduled to play five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests. The tour will start with the T20I series on October 22, with the first match set to be played in Christchurch.
The five-match T20I series will be the first part of India’s 12-match tour of New Zealand. The T20Is will be followed by five ODIs in November before the two teams meet in the Test series later in the month.
New Zealand are now preparing for the opening part of the tour, with their T20I squad expected to be announced next week. However, the hosts have suffered an injury concern before the squad announcement, with one of their key all-rounders doubtful for the series.

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has dislocated his right shoulder during a promotional shoot in Auckland. The injury has put his participation in the five-match T20I series against India in doubt.
Ravindra suffered the injury on Wednesday, September 16, while attempting to take a diving catch during a commercial shoot with Sky in Auckland.
The left-hander landed awkwardly on a safety mat while completing the catch and dislocated his right shoulder. He underwent further assessment from medical specialists on Friday, September 18.
The initial medical assessment has provided some relief for New Zealand. Specialists found no major structural damage to the shoulder. However, there is no confirmation of Ravindra’s return to international cricket yet.
With the New Zealand squad due to be announced next week, Ravindra’s fitness will be closely watched. At present, it remains unclear whether he will be fit enough to take part in the T20I series.
New Zealand Performance Manager Mike Sandle described the injury as an unfortunate incident and said the team’s main focus is now on Ravindra’s recovery.
“It was a really unfortunate injury. We’re gutted for Rachin and our key priority is making sure he recovers well and gets back on the field as soon as he can,” Sandle said.
He also said that the activities for commercial shoots are agreed in advance and carried out with safety measures in place.
“It was a bit of a freak accident, and we’ll continue to review our processes around events like this in the future,” Sandle added.
