The couple separated a few days before their 4th anniversary.
On Friday, February 20, Indian leg-spinner Rahul Chahar confirmed his separation from his wife, Ishani Johar, through an Instagram post. The announcement comes after almost 4 years of being together, following their dream wedding in Goa on March 9, 2022.
Rahul took to the social media handle to share his feelings. In a heartfelt post, the leggie said that he entered the relationship at a young age and did not know what he wanted at the time.

In his elaborate post, he stated, “I entered marriage at a young age, before I fully understood myself, my worth, or the life I truly wanted to build. What followed were years of lessons I never expected, and the last fifteen months spent navigating courtrooms, learning patience, resilience, and the strength that some from in truth.”
”I move forward wiser”- Rahul Chahar aims to reset and look forward to a new chapter.
Rahul Chahar also stated in acceptance that, “Some relationships are not meant to last forever; they are meant to awaken us, teach us. and transform us. I move forward wiser, more self-aware, and certain of the life I deserve to build.”
Chahar, although accepting that it won’t be an end, further stated that he is looking to stand on “self-respect, peace, and better choices.”
The Rajasthan-born will now look to prepare himself for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is scheduled to take place from March until May 2026.
It is worth noting that Chahar will now be seen playing in the Chennai Super Kings jersey, as he managed to acquire a price of INR 5.20 Crore in the accelerated process of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, after going unsold in the initial auction.
Before this, Chahar was released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and will look to revive his career in the Yellow Army.
