Rahul Dravid recently ended his stint as India head coach with T20 World Cup 2024 win.

Rahul Dravid, former India captain and head coach, was seen playing cricket with the National Cricket Academy’s ground workers in Bengaluru on Sunday, August 11.

Rahul Dravid became Team India’s head coach after Ravi Shastri’s tenure ended with the Men in Blue’s early departure from the T20 World Cup in 2021. Under Dravid’s leadership, India reached the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup, final of the World Test Championship 2021-23, the 2023 ODI World Cup final, and won the 2023 Asia Cup.

Aside from international glory, Rahul Dravid played an important role in India’s multiple bilateral series victories. The most recent was the 4-1 test series victory over the touring England squad led by Ben Stokes. However, Dravid ended his coaching career on a positive note by winning the T20 World Cup.

Dravid recently terminated his tenure as Team India’s head coach, following the Men in Blue T20 World Cup 2024 victory over South Africa in the final in Barbados in June.

The 51-year-old was succeeded by his former India teammate Gautam Gambhir, who took up coaching duties for the recently-finished white-ball tour of Sri Lanka.

Rahul Dravid has attended a number of events since stepping down as head coach, including the Paris Olympics, where he was the principal guest at India House, and the Tamil Nadu Premier League, when he handed the trophy to the winning side, Dindigul Dragons.

Dravid is seen stretching his arms a bit and then takes a small run-up to bowl to the batter.
