Rahul Dravid’s son Samit is representing Mysore Warriors in the ongoing Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024.
Former India cricketer and coach Rahul Dravid needs no introduction. He is one of the greatest cricketers India have ever produced. Famously known as “Mr. Wall,” he achieved a lot of success both as a player and as a coach.
India lifted the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy a few months ago under his coaching, and that concluded stint as India’s head coach.
Samit has already made his name with his skillset at an early age and recently made his debut in the ongoing Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024.
Rahul Dravid’s son Samit fails in his first outing at Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024
Samit was picked by Mysore Warriors in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024 in the auction for INR 50,000. He made his debut in the second game of the tournament against Shivamogga Lions on August 15 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Samit Dravid, who is a batting all-rounder, failed to deliver the goods in his first outing of the tournament.
Batting at No. 4, Samit managed a score of only 7 off 9 balls, which included one boundary. He got out to spinner Hardik Raj while playing a slog sweep in an attempt to hit his first six. The ball got the height but not the distance and he was caught at deep square leg.
Mysore Warriors eventually won the game by seven runs (VJD method). Mysore’s next match is on Friday when his team will take on Bengaluru Blasters at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024 can work as a stepping stone in his career as he is searching for a good platform to launch himself in domestic cricket. There are a lot of expectations from him because of being the son of Rahul Dravid.
