Rajat Patidar has emerged as one of the key batsmen for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in recent years. Making his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in 2021, Patidar quickly earned a name for his exceptional ability to play big shots against spinners.
Patidar’s breakthrough year came in 2022, when he scored 333 runs, including a century, in just eight matches at a strike rate of 153. The 2024 edition was a mixed one, as after a poor start in the first few games, he returned to form in the later stages and registered 395 runs in 14 games.
Thanks to his consistent performances, he was handed the captaincy of RCB for IPL 2025. He didn’t take much time to make an impact as in his debut season as captain, he took his team to the title win. In 2026, he looked in staggering touch, slamming over 480 runs.

Rajat Patidar played a terrific knock of 55 runs against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala in 2024. Batting first, RCB posted 241/7 on the back of half-centuries from Virat Kohli (92) and Patidar (55).
Patidar’s 55 off 23 balls, which included three fours and six massive sixes, helped the team attack PBKS’ spinners during the middle overs. He also stitched a 76-run stand with Virat Kohli for the third wicket.
In reply, PBKS managed only 181 in 20 overs, giving RCB a 60-run win.
4. 58 vs Rajasthan Royals, 2022, Ahmedabad

Next on the list is Patidar’s half-century in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
After being asked to bat first, Patidar made full use of the excellent batting pitch, smashing four fours and three sixes in his 42-ball stay. No other RCB batsman managed to get going as the team registered a below-par score of 157.
Bengaluru lost the game by seven wickets with 11 balls to spare.
3. 61 vs Lucknow Super Giants, 2026, Lucknow
Rajat Patidar played a brilliant innings of 61 runs vs Lucknow Super Giants in match 50th of IPL 2026. The right-hander slammed 61 runs off 31 balls with the help of three fours and six sixes. However, his innings went in vain as RCB failed to chase the target of 210.
2. 93* vs Gujarat Titans, 2026, Dharamsala

Rajat Patidar’s second highest score in IPL came during the Qualifier 1 of IPL 2026. Playing against Gujarat Titans, the RCB captain came out all guns blazing and slammed the bowlers all over the park. He ended up hitting unbeaten 93 runs off just 33 balls, batting with a strike rate of over 281. His innings was also laced with five boundaries and nine sixes.
1. 112* vs Lucknow Super Giants, 2022, Kolkata
Rajat Patidar registered his highest IPL score of 112* during the Eliminator match of the IPL 2022 against Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata.
His 112-run knock, which included 12 fours and seven sixes, propelled RCB to a massive first-innings total of 207 runs. He received strong support from Dinesh Karthik, who contributed 37.
Thanks to his heroics, RCB won the game by 14 runs.
