Ranji Trophy 2026-27 Schedule: Round 1 Fixtures, Groups, Squads & Venues
Ranji Trophy 2026-27 will begin on October 11.
The new season of the Ranji Trophy is set to begin on October 11, 2026. Like previous years, India’s premier domestic red-ball tournament will give experienced players and young cricketers a stage to perform and help their teams compete for the title.
A total of 38 teams will take part in the 2026-27 edition. These teams are divided into four Elite groups and one Plate group. The tournament will feature 138 matches and will be played in two phases because of the domestic white-ball tournaments scheduled in between.
Jammu and Kashmir will enter the competition as the defending champions after winning their first Ranji Trophy title last season. They will look to continue their good run, while teams such as Mumbai, Karnataka and Bengal will also aim to make a strong start.
The first round will run from October 11 to 14, with 19 matches scheduled across different venues. Jammu and Kashmir will face Madhya Pradesh in Srinagar, while Karnataka will take on Andhra and Bengal will meet Delhi.
