Ravi Ashwin dismissed Devon Conway in the first IND vs NZ test in Bengaluru.
After a complete horror show with the bat in the first innings, the Indian Cricket Team fought back with the ball in the first test of the three-match test series at Bengaluru.
India were all out for 46 in the first innings of the test, registering their third-lowest total in test cricket. The star of the show were the New Zealand fast bowlers as they claimed all 10 Indian wickets inside 32 overs. Matt Henry picked fourth five-wicket haul of his test career, dismissing the likes of Pant and Jadeja among others.
The Indian bowling innings started in a disappointing fashion as they had to wait for 17 overs to get the first wicket. Tom Latham was the first Kiwi batter to be dismissed – trapped LBW for 15 runs by Indian spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav.
The most important wicket of the innings for India came when Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed the Black Caps opener Devon Conway.
An excellent player of spin, Conway was looking to play a reverse sweep off Ashwin’s bowling to take advantage on the offside. Ashwin, though, was quick to pick up the movement of the batter as he changed his length to bowl a yorker and bowled the southpaw.
