Kane Williamson just scored one run before getting caught and bowled by Ravi Bishnoi.
In match No. 20 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 7, LSG leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi produced a stunning one-handed catch off his bowling to dismiss the GT overseas star Kane Williamson, who came in as an impact substitute.
The incident happened during the eighth over of the GT innings, when Ravi Bishnoi came into the attack. Bishnoi bowled a 97.7 kph fullish delivery towards Williamson, who was looking to get forward for an on-drive. However, the GT batter didn’t quite get to the pitch, and Williamsin ended up chipping it straight towards the LSG leg-spinner.
However, Bishnoi showed great reflexes as he dived right into his follow-through and stretched his right hand to grab a one-handed screamer above his head. Soon after the dismissal, Williamson was shocked after seeing the stunning catch as Bishnoi celebrated his wicket while spreading his both arms in the air.
Here is the Ravi Bishnoi catch video:
Earlier in the first innings, LSG all-rounder Marcus Stoinis smashed a brilliant fifty and his 73-run stand with skipper KL Rahul, who scored 33, guided hosts Super Giants to post a respectable total of 163/5. Towards the end, Pooran made 32 off 22 deliveries.
