Ravindra Jadeja becomes only the fourth player in history to achieve this HUGE feat, joins Kapil Dev in the elite list

Ravindra Jadeja became the fourth player to reach 7000 runs and 600 wickets in international cricket.
The England Cricket Team defeated the Indian Cricket Team by 22 runs in the third test of the five-match series at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. During the 193-run target, Ravindra Jadeja showed a fabulous fight to score an unbeaten 61 runs and take his team close. However, his effort went in vain as the visitors got all out for 170 runs to lose the clash.
After the Lord’s test, Jadeja has clinched an elite record to his name. The Indian all-rounder has become the fourth player to score 7000 runs and clinch 600 wickets in international cricket. Jadeja has played 361 international games and has scored 7018 runs along with 611 wickets so far.
Jadeja is the second Indian player to achieve the record after former India captain Kapil Dev. The latter scored more than 8000 runs in his career and picked up 687 wickets. Former South Africa player Shaun Pollock and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan are the other two players to achieve this record.
Ravindra Jadeja scored fourth consecutive fifty in the Lord’s test
Notably, Jadeja has shown a wonderful batting form in the test series against England. In the second innings of the Lord’s test, he scored his fourth consecutive half-century in the series. He scored 72 runs in the first innings and 61* in the second innings.
With 327 runs in six innings at an average of 109.0, Jadeja is the fifth-highest run-scorer in the series. He has also clinched three wickets. Meanwhile, after the victory in the third test, England lead the five-match series 2-1.
India and England are pulling their socks up for the fourth test, which will begin from July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester. India will look to script history as they have not defeated England in a test match at the venue in the past.
Spinner Shoaib Bashir has been ruled out of the test series due to a finger injury. England have added Liam Dawson as a replacement. He makes a comeback to test cricket after eight years.
