Ravindra Jadeja added another huge bowling record for India in test cricket during ICC WTC Final 2023.

Australia have stretched their lead over the 350-run mark during the first session on Day 4. Though they have lost two wickets but they are in a commanding position to win the final of the World Test Championship 2023. Nothing can be said but Australia has an upper hand over India. Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja were the two bowlers to take wickets on the fourth day.

The ongoing WTC final hasn't gone as expected for Team India and they are far behind. But this game has helped Ravindra Jadeja to write his name in the record books. The all-rounder had a brilliant game so far with the bat and the ball. He took 1/59 in the first inning and scored 48 off 51 with the bat. On the third day, he dismissed Steven Smith and Travis Head, who scored centuries in the first innings, to rewrite history.

Ravindra Jadeja went past legend Bishan Singh Bedi to becomes India's most successful Left-arm spinner

Jadeja ended the third day with 2/25 and dismissed Cameron Green on Day 4 to take his second-innings wicket's tally to 3. In doing so, he went past the Indian legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi to become India's highest wicket-taker as left-arm spinner in test cricket. Bedi had taken 266 wickets in his 13-year long test career in 67 tests, with 14 fifers and a best of 7/98.

Jadeja has now taken 267 wickets in his 65th test game with 12 five-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket hauls. The all-rounder is currently No. 1 ranked test all-rounder and has been an important part of the Indian team across all three formats with both bat and ball. Jadeja is fourth on the all-time elite list of left-arm spinners with most test wickets.

Sri Lanka's Rangana Herath (433 wickets), New Zealand's Daniel Vettori (362 wickets), and England's Derek Underwood (297 wickets) are only ahead of him. Furthermore, the all-rounder also equaled Ravichandran Ashwin's record for dismissing Steve Smith for a total of 8 times in the red-ball cricket. Only veteran English pacer Stuart Broad has done him nine times in tests.
