Ravindra Jadeja has played under MS Dhoni’s captaincy in number of matches.

Indian cricket team and Chennai Super Kings star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja shared a heartwarming post with an emotional message for legendary MS Dhoni on his 43rd birthday on July 7.

The 35-year-old Jadeja made his international debut for India under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Since then, Jadeja has played a huge role, especially in test and ODI cricket.

Under the leadership of Dhoni, India lifted the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. In that tournament, all-rounder Jadeja played a huge role in helping his side reach glory. The left-arm spinner was the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 12 wickets in five matches. With the bat, Jadeja scored 80 runs.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Jadeja and Dhoni have been playing with each other for the Chennai-based franchise for over a decade and have won multiple IPL trophies together.

Interestingly, Dhoni lifted the star Indian all-rounder Jadeja, when the latter hit 10 runs off last two deliveries in IPL 2023 final to help CSK win their record-equaling fifth IPL title.

On Dhoni’s birthday, the 35-year-old Jadeja shared a moment where Legendary player Dhoni lifted him after Chennai won the fifth IPL title in 2023. Jadeja also captioned the post with “Happy birthday to my only favourite person in cricket.mahi bhai Your presence is the greatest gift. Lots of love 💛💛#bigbrother 🎈🎈🎈.

Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20Is after lifting the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024

After the legendary duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also bid adieu to the T20 internationals after winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy on June 29 in Barbados.

Jadeja, who made his T20I debut in 2009, represented India in 70 games, picking 54 wickets. With a bat, the all-rounder scored 515 runs. The 35-year-old also confirmed that he will continue to play ODI and test cricket for the national side.
