RCB part ways with Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar ahead of IPL 2024 - Reports

Mike Hesson and Sanjay Banger have been with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the last five years.
It's been sixteen years since the inception of the Indian Premier League in 2008. Since then, a number of IPL franchises have won the championship. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won five titles each, while three teams that have been part of this league since the inaugural season are yet to win the championship. One of them is the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB have played in the IPL final three times, but unfortunately, they have ended up on the wrong side on all three occasions. They played the last final in 2016 under Virat Kohli and lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad. But since then, they are yet to play in the final as well. In the recent edition, they couldn't make it to the playoffs either and ended at the fifth place on the table.
Mike Hesson and Sanjay Banger to part ways with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) - Reports
The franchise is desperate to win an IPL title, as they have not done it even once. Meanwhile, some media reports indicate that the franchise is looking for new coaching staff and management. It has been learned that they are not willing to continue with Director of Cricket Mike Hesson and coach Sanjay Banger for the next season. These two have been with the RCB setup for the last five seasons.
As per the reports from the Indian Express, it has been suggested that RCB are looking for a new set of backroom staff, and it is also not clear whether they will stick with the current bowling coach Adam Griffith or not. The franchise is searching for someone who can come up with new tactics and ideas for the team, which hasn't won a season.
It is not yet clear whether they will look for an Indian head coach or someone from outside India. Meanwhile, other franchises have already began their work of making some important changes to their coaching staff. The Lucknow Super Giants have replaced Andy Flower and hired former Australian coach Justin Langer as their new head coach.
