After being asked to bat first, RCB piled up a gigantic total of 250/3 in the first innings. Phil Salt (46), Devdutt Padikkal (50), Rajat Patidar (48), and Tim David (70) were at their brutal best as their combined batting effort took the scoreboard to a massive total.
In the chase, CSK lost their top three batters for single digits. Jacob Duffy dismissed both the openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson, while pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the crucial wicket of in-form batter Ayush Mhatre. With the wicket, he also bagged a huge achievement in IPL history.

Bhuvneshwar has reached the mark of 200 wickets in the IPL. Moreover, he is the first fast bowler and second player to reach the mark in the tournament’s history. Yuzvendra Chahal was the first bowler to clinch 200 wickets in the IPL. With 224 scalps, the right-arm spinner is the highest wicket-taker in IPL history.
