RCB vs PBKS: PBKS playing XI vs RCB, Match 6, IPL 2024 - Predicted
RCB vs PBKS clash will take place on Monday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) started off the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 with a spectacular chase against Delhi Capitals that helped them get two important points on the board. Most of their players had a good game. But they will be challenged in the second game on Monday.
PBKS will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on March 25 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB lost their first game, but beating them in Bengaluru can be tricky. However, PBKS should be confident because anything can happen at the venue like Chinnaswamy. And here, we will talk here about Punjab’s playing XI in the RCB vs PBKS clash on Monday.
RCB vs PBKS: Punjab’s predicted playing XI vs RCB
1. Shikhar Dhawan (c)
The PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan had a good start in the first match and he scored a 16-ball 22, but got out playing too many shots. He looked in good rhythm, and that could be one thing he will look to carry on, and he can exploit shorter boundaries in Bengaluru more.
2. Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow was unfortunate to get runout against DC, but he started with two consecutive boundaries. He can be a very dangerous batter and has done well against RCB in the past. His aggressive style of batting makes him a difficult batter for the oppositions, and RCB will hope that they can keep him quiet on Monday.
3. Sam Curran
Sam Curran was named Man of the Match in the first game for his superb all-round display. He is someone for whom RCB should make a plan because the quality he brings to the game is very dangerous. He bowls and takes wickets and also scores runs, and that’s why, PBKS invested 18.50 crores in him. Curran will be key for Punjab against the RCB.
4. Liam Livingstone
Liam Livingstone started a bit rusty in the first game, but once he got the first ball from the middle, he went on to finish the game with a six. The all-rounder can be a huge threat with the small boundaries at Chinnaswamy. He is a six-hitting machine, and one thing is sure: until he is at the crease, the runs will flow freely.
5. Jitesh Sharma (wk)
Jitesh Sharma didn’t get going in the first game, but we all know what he can do with the bat. He is another PBKS player who can clear boundaries consistently. That is what he has been doing for the last two seasons. Jitesh will be ready to get some runs under his belt and contribute to the team.
6. Shashank Singh
Shashank Singh is another good striker on the cricket ball. He is yet to prove himself with the bat, but he has the skills to do well in crunch situations. Shashank can play well against spin and pace, which is why PBKS have shown trust in him, and he is likely to play on Monday.
7. Harpreet Brar
Harpreet Brar will be a very important player for PBKS, not because of what he can do with the bat but with his spin bowling. The 28-year-old is a key bowler, and his tight line makes it hard to hit him for boundaries. He bowled a good spell of three overs and took 1/14 against DC. Harpreet can deliver something similar against RCB.
8. Harshal Patel
Harshal Patel had a pretty good game until he was taken away by Abhishek Porel in the last over for 25 runs. But he ended up taking two important wickets. Harshal was part of RCB for many years, and he knows the playing conditions and plans of RCB batters that can help him deliver a good performance against his former team.
9. Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada will be back in action and will look to do what he does best. He had an average first game but can be a go-to bowler against RCB’s heavy top-order. Rabada can be a threat for the star-studded RCB team, and PBKS will rely on him to provide them a good start with the ball.
10. Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers for PBKS in the first game. He ended up taking 2/28 and bowled pretty well. The left-arm pacer will have a tough role of bowling with new and old balls, but he is very good at it, and he can deliver a game-changing performance for the team.
11. Rahul Chahar
Rahul Chahar is the main spinner for PBKS. He is also a wicket-taker and can be very handy against right-handers. RCB have six right-handers in the top seven, and Chahar can make the most of the opportunity. He had a good game against DC and will be hard to get away for runs.
