Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided RR with a blistering start in the Eliminator match of IPL 2026.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are locking horns in the Eliminator of Indian Premier League 2026 on May 27. SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to field first in the encounter.

RR opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi wreaked havoc with the bat, hitting SRH bowlers from the start. He hammered gigantic sixes to provided RR with a blistering start, slamming his half-century in just 16 deliveries.

Thanks to his aggressive batting, RR posted to 80/0 in the powerplay. With 12 sixes and five fours, he scored 97 runs off just 29 deliveries. Before losing his wicket, he added 125 runs in just 8 overs with Yashasvi Jaiswal.

With his quickfire half-century, he has also become the highest run-scorer in the tournament. With 680 runs in 15 games at an average of 45.33, he has done an impeccable job with the bat. He has also slammed one century and four fifties.
