WWE legend Ric Flair reacts to Rohit Sharma imitating his famous walk while collecting ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy
Rohit Sharma retired from T20Is after winning his second T20 World Cup.
Wrestling icon Ric Flair has reacted to India captain Rohit Sharma imitating his iconic walking style while collecting the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy.
Rohit became the third Indian skipper, after Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni, to win a World Cup title for the country when India defeated South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final on June 29 in Barbados. South Africa choked once again in a high-pressure situation as they failed to chase down 30 runs in 30 balls, with India clinching the game by only seven runs.
With this, Rohit, who was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team, joined the few West Indies players who have won two men’s T20 World Cup trophies.
Rohit Sharma imitates Ric Flair’s famous strut; WWE legend reacts
While collecting the trophy, Rohit did Flair’s famous strut. In a video going viral, it can be seen that leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav had suggested Rohit to do this.
The ICC posted a video of this moment with Flair’s music. The WWE legend also reacted by commenting, “@rohitsharma45 Taking A Page Out Of My Playbook! WOOOOO!” on ICC’s post.
After winning the trophy, Rohit announced in the press conference that he has retired from T20Is. Earlier, Virat Kohli did the same after collecting his Man of the Match award. Rohit and Kohli are the top two leading run-scorers in T20Is.
Sharma said, “That was my last game as well. Honestly, I have enjoyed it since the time I started playing this format. There is no better time to say goodbye to this format. I have loved every moment of it. I started my India career playing this format. This is what I wanted to do. win the Cup and say goodbye.”
