How much will Rishabh Pant earn per match in IPL 2025?
Rishabh Pant was bought by LSG in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) broke the bank for wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction.
Pant had shockingly been released by Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the mega auction. DC did try to use the RTM card on Pant at INR 20.75 crores during the auction, but LSG raised their last bid to INR 27 crores and DC refused to match the new bid.
LSG roped in Pant for INR 27 crores, making the left-hander the most expensive player in the history of the IPL.
After acquiring Pant for a hefty price, LSG owner Sanji Goenka said, “This [getting Pant for 27 crore] was very well to our plan. It wasn’t really a magic number, we just wanted a number so that the RTM doesn’t get exercised.”
From the IPL 2025 season, the BCCI has introduced a match fee of INR 7.5 lakhs per match, which the players will earn in addition to their contract. This means that if a player plays all 14 league games, he will earn INR 1.05 crores extra, and if he plays 16 matches, he will earn INR 1.2 crores extra.
How much will Rishabh Pant earn per match in IPL 2025?
Rishabh Pant was signed by LSG for INR 27 crores, and assuming he plays 14 league games in the tournament, which will fetch him INR 1.05 crore in match fees, his total earnings from the IPL 2025 would be INR 28.05 crores. That makes his per match income INR 2 crores.
If Pant plays 16 matches in the season, he will earn INR 1.76 crores per match.
