Rishabh Pant has been out of action for six months now. He suffered a horrific car accident in December 2022 while traveling from Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The 25-year-old lost control, and his car collided with the divider and turned up-side-down. It also caught fire, and luckily Pant was able to come out of it with the help of the locals available there.
The 25-year-old suffered injuries to various parts of his body and underwent surgery in April. Though he is recovering well now and is undergoing his rehab program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. During his rehab, he has posted multiple posts on his social media handles to give fans an update about his recovery. He recently made headlines when he added January 1, 2023, as his second date of birth on his social media bio.

The 25-year-old also shared an emotional post on Saturday, thanking doctors and medical staff who worked hard to save him during his surgeries and treatment. Notably, India celebrates July 1st as National Doctor's Day. Thus, Rishabh Pant penned a thankful post on the special occasion on his social media handles, acknowledging their efforts during his life-threating accident.
On January 5, 2023, which he recently updated as his second DOB, he was declared out of danger after his horrible car accident. The 25-year-old has been recovering well under BCCI supervision, but he is unlikely to make it to the ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in India between October and November.
