Rishabh Pant becomes No.6 test batter in ICC rankings, Travis Head, Josh Hazlewood make substantial gains

Rishabh Pant slammed twin centuries against England in the first test.
After his brilliant batting show in the first test of the ongoing five-match series against England, India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has jumped to the number six spot in the latest test rankings for batsmen by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The left-hander has jumped one spot and has 801 rating points in his kitty.
Rishabh Pant broke plenty of batting records after his twin centuries in the first test against England at Headingley, Leeds. Pant slammed 134 and 118 in the match to become the first Indian player to score centuries in both innings of a test match in England.
England opener Ben Duckett, who slammed a match-winning 149 runs in the encounter, has retained eighth spot in the latest rankings. Australia batsman Travis Head, who hammered two half-centuries in the first test against the West Indies in Barbados, has climbed three places to reach the 10th spot.

Jasprit Bumrah retains top spot in ICC rankings for test bowlers
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has retained the top spot in the latest rankings for test bowlers with 907 rating points. The right-arm pacer clinched a five-wicket haul in the first test against England. Moreover, Ravindra Jadeja continues to grab the peak position in the category of all-rounders with 376 rating points.
Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood, who captured a five-wicket haul in the first test against the West Indies, has gained one spot to reach the number four rank among test bowlers. West Indies pacer Jayden Seales has jumped one place to grab the ninth spot. He clinched a fifer in the first innings of the Barbados test.

Meanwhile, England’s Joe Root continue to retain his top spot among test batsmen with 889 rating points. Other than Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal is the only Indian batsman on the top 10 list. Jaiswal, who slammed a century in the Headingley test, holds the fourth spot.
Bumrah is the only Indian player among the top 10 test bowlers in ICC rankings. Jadeja is the next Indian member at the 13th spot.
