Rohit Sharma played a match-winning knock in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has shared unseen footage from the team’s victory celebration in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Men in Blue won the tournament undefeated to register their second consecutive ICC Trophy win.
India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, were a force to be reckon with in ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Playing all their games in Dubai due to the hybrid model, they dominated almost every opposition with their spin-heavy attack in spin-favouring conditions.
Rohit Sharma, who failed to make a big mark in the entire tournament, came up with a sensational effort in the final and at a time when it mattered the most. He played an innings of 76 against New Zealand as India won the title with ease.
The celebrations in the Indian camp were terrific after the win. From what was shown on TVs and social media, it seemed that the entire coaching staff and players are chuffed to bits. However, now, months later, the actual celebrations of the team came into the notice of the people.

Rishabh Pant, who didn’t play a single game in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, shared unseen footage of the celebrations to wish all the fans on Independence Day. The clip captured the unfiltered reactions of all the players inside the dressing room.
It started with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill celebrating aggressively inside the dressing room. Later, as Pant goes into the ground, in his unique, hilarious way, he was seen poking fun at the other members of the team.
What caught the attention of many was the way the clip ended. Pant went around Rohit Sharma and asked him why he was taking the stump along with him, hinting at his retirement. But the Indian ODI skipper replied, saying “he won’t take retirement after winning the ICC every trophy in his format.”
