Rohit Sharma will play for India in the upcoming ODI series against Australia.
Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma was among the few cricketers who attended the CEAT Tyres award show in Mumbai on Tuesday, October 7. During the event, the Indian opener stole the limelight as he burst into laughter after watching MS Dhoni’s mimicry act by a performer. Rohit could not hold his laughter and enjoyed the act with his wife Ritika Sejdeh.
Rohit shares a close friendship with former Indian captain MS Dhoni. He played with him for India till 2019 and also played a lot of matches under Dhoni’s captaincy. Notably, it was Dhoni who proposed Rohit to try the opening slot during ICC Champions Trophy 2013. That decision changed his career as Rohit emerged as one of the best openers to play for India across all three formats.
Both batting legends are also among the most successful captains in Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit has led Mumbai Indians (MI) to five trophies, while Dhoni has also led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to an equal number of titles.
