Rohit Sharma scored 400 runs in the recently concluded five-match test series against England.
After winning the five-match test series by 4-1 against England, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was spotted at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Tuesday to watch the summit clash of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2023–24 which is taking place between Mumbai and Vidarbha.
Rohit Sharma, who recently captained India in the England series, made sure that he didn’t opt for rest and instead came to attend the summit clash, which is a massive boost for his state team Mumbai, who are aiming for yet another glorious title.
This unexpected appearance by the Indian skipper has grabbed headlines and highlights Rohit’s commitment to nurturing talent at the grassroots level. Rohit Sharma was spotted sitting in Mumbai’s dressing room and enjoying the game.
Pacer Dhawal Kulkarni was alongside him and the India captain was taking notes of the game. The video of him watching the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 final between Mumbai and Vidarbha surfaced on the internet in minutes.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma lauds “test cricket incentive scheme” introduce by BCCI
BCCI secretary Jay Shah recently recently introduced the incentive scheme for Indian test cricketers, so that players prioritise test cricket ahead of the T20 leagues.
Jay Shah made the announcement through his X account (formerly Twitter) and posted, “I am pleased to announce the initiation of the ‘Test Cricket Incentive Scheme’ for Senior Men, a step aimed at providing financial growth and stability to our esteemed athletes. Commencing from the 2022-23 season, the ‘Test Cricket Incentive Scheme’ will serve as an additional reward structure on top of the existing match fee for Test matches, set at INR 15 lakhs.”
Following the announcement made by BCCI, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma lavished praise on the board’s decision to provide incentives to test cricketers. Rohit also heaped praise on Jay Shah for putting in constant efforts to revive test cricket and prioritizing it.
Rohit posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Test Cricket was and will be the ultimate format and it’s great to see BCCI and Jay Shah leading the way in prioritizing test cricket.”
