Former Indian Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma was caught peeking into Reliance Foundation founder and Mumbai Indians (MI) owner Nita Ambani’s phone during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final, and the video of the light-hearted moment has gone viral on social media. The Indian opener visited Dr. DY Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 2, to support India Women in the summit clash against South Africa Women.

India Women crushed South Africa Women by 52 runs in the encounter to script a historic win and clinch an ICC title for the first time. They successfully defended their first innings total of 298/7, bundling out the opposition for 246 runs with a five-wicket haul by Deepti Sharma.

Rohit was accompanied by his wife Ritika Sejdeh and both of them enjoyed the thrilling clash from the stands. They were seated beside Nita Ambani in the VIP Box. The trio were seen cheering for the India Women’s from the stands.

During the match, cameras captured Rohit taking multiple glances at Nita’s phone screen as the MI owner was watching something, and the video of the moment went viral on social media. As a result, some fans also shared hilarious comments over the incident. Have a look at the video below.

Meanwhile, Rohit last played for India during the ODI series against Australia last month, where he won Player of the Series award. The right-handed batsman slammed an impeccable century in the third ODI in Sydney to power the team to victory by nine wickets.

Post his wonderful show, he also jumped to the top spot in ICC rankings for ODI batters, capturing the feat for the first time in his career. Now, he will be next seen in the home ODI series against South Africa, scheduled to commence on November 30 in Ranchi.
