SL vs IND: Rohit Sharma equals Chris Gayle's record for second-most ODI sixes

Rohit Sharma has now 331 ODI sixes in his career till now.
The Indian cricket team ODI captain Rohit Sharma added another feather to his glorious international career. Sharma moved up in the record books by equaling the legendary Chris Gayle’s tally of 331 sixes in the ODI format.
Rohit equalled Gayle’s tally of second-most sixes in ODI cricket during the final match of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on August 7.
The 37-year-old opener scored 35 runs in 20 balls, including four boundaries and one maximum. India, though, suffered a 110-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the third ODI on Wednesday. Hosts Sri Lanka won the three-match ODI series 2-0.
Rohit Sharma is only behind Shahid Afridi for most ODI sixes record
The veteran Indian opener Rohit made his ODI debut against Ireland in June 2007. Since his ODI debut, Sharma has smashed 331 sixes till now in the fifty-over international cricket.
After smashing one six against Sri Lanka in the third ODI, Rohit has now 331 maximums in the format. The veteran Indian opener is just behind former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, who smashed 351 sixes in the format in his illustrious career.
