Rohit Sharma scored a half-century in the second ODI between India and Australia at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.

The second ODI between Indian Cricket Team and Australian Cricket Team got underway on Thursday, October 23 at the Adelaide Oval Stadium, Adelaide. Indian opener Rohit Sharma stole the limelight with his batting and also scripted history by breaking a massive record of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.

Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss once again and opted to bowl first. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma opened the batting for India, however, the former lost his wicket cheaply for nine runs in the seventh over. In the same over, Virat Kohli also lost his wicket, getting dismissed for a duck for the second consecutive time in the series.

After Gill and Kohli left the field quickly, Rohit took the responsibility and despite struggling to get going with the bat in the start, he scored 73 runs off 97 deliveries to go with seven fours and two sixes. He also built a partnership of 118 runs with Shreyas Iyer (61) for the third wicket before getting dismissed by senior Australian pacer Mitchell Starc in the 30th over, with the scoreboard reading 135/3.
