When will Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli next play for India?

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had great outings with bat in IND vs WI ODIs.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma recently played a three-match ODI series against the West Indies. Both batters had good performances and played important innings during the home series.

India won the first two matches but lost the third ODI by five wickets in New Chandigarh on October 3, 2026. Rohit and Kohli were among the key players in the series, with both scoring runs for the team.

Rohit Sharma finished the series with 225 runs in three innings at an average of 75. He scored 32 runs in the first ODI before hitting 101 off 75 balls in the second match. He then scored 92 runs in the final ODI.

Virat Kohli scored 168 runs in three innings at an average of 56. His best performance came in the opening match, where he smashed 139 not out off 88 balls.

Kohli also completed 15,000 ODI runs during the series. He became the second batter after Sachin Tendulkar to reach this milestone.

When will Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli next play for India?

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are expected to return to action in India’s upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. The first match will take place on November 4, 2026, at Eden Park in Auckland.

The five-match series will run until November 15. India will play matches in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton and Mount Maunganui. All five ODIs are scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM IST.

India will also play five T20Is against New Zealand before the ODI series. The T20I matches will start on October 22. The BCCI has not announced the squad for the New Zealand tour yet. 

However, both players are expected to be considered for the ODI series after their recent performances.
