After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20Is.

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma received a heartwarming grand welcome from his childhood friends and Mumbai Indians player Tilak Varma as he returned home after winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

After being struck in the Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl since June 29, the Indian Cricket Team finally touchdown at New Delhi airport around 6:00 AM on July 4. The Men in Blue then met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi. In the afternoon, the T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad departed for Mumbai.

After arriving in Mumbai, the Rohit-led side received a grand welcome at the airport and also had an emotional and unforgettable victory parade from Marine Drive to the iconic Wankhede Stadium, where they had a felicitation ceremony.

After the end of the grand T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade and felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium, the veteran cricketer Rohit returned to his home, where he received a grand welcome from his childhood friends and his MI teammate Tilak Varma.

In a video, which is going viral on social media handle ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Rohit can be seen arriving at his home in Mumbai, where he saw his friends waiting for him to give a heartwarming welcome.

Rohit’s childhood friends and his MI teammate Tilak gave him a salute before hugging him and lifting him on their shoulders.
