Washington Sundar forgot his steps during his bowling stride.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma shared a hilarious moment with off-spinner Washington Sundar, which caught the eyes of cricket fans across social media, during the second fixture of the three-match ODI series against hosts Sri Lanka at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on August 4.
After being asked to field first, Indian bowlers once again displayed a fine performance as they restricted the hosts to 240/9 in 50 overs. Indian spin duo of Washington Sundar (3/30) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/33) took advantage of the spin-friendly pitch to return with impressive figures.
For Sri Lanka, Avishka Fernando (40 off 62 balls) and Kamindu Mendis (40 off 44 balls) added valuable runs with the bat as the hosts managed to reach above the 230-run mark.

During 33rd over of Sri Lanka’s innings, when the game was well-balanced, Lanka batter Janith Liyanage survived a caught-behind call after he took DRS and turned the on-field umpire decision to not-out.
Before delivering the second ball of the over, Sundar messed up his run-up twice. He had some issues with his stepping on the crease and twice aborted during his delivery stride. This made Indian skipper Rohit funnily charge at him while the commentators and all the Indian players laughed at the skipper’s hilarious antic.
