IPL 2027 auction is set to take place on December 16, 2026 in Goa.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027 auction is not far away from now. Hence, every franchise is busy in planning for the best possible outcome. Some of the franchises have already made high-profile trades, and some potential trades are in discussion.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are currently in discussion for a top-level trade. As reported by Cricbuzz, a player swap is in discussion between these two franchises, involving a notable batter and front-line bowler.

As per reports, it could be a massive trade, which will involve around 3 or 4 players. RR are in search of a premier fast bowler for their squad, who did well for LSG in the last season. In reply, LSG are seeking an aggressive top order to bolster their batting unit.

LSG have a brilliant fast bowling unit, and they also have great depth in this department. Hence, they are comfortable releasing one of the pacers from their current setup.

LSG were the first franchise that made a trade ahead of the IPL 2027 auction. They traded in Kuldeep Yadav from Delhi Capitals, swaping their captain Rishabh Pant. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the most active franchise.

They have been involved in a few player trades already. SRH acquired Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis from Chennai Super Kings in place of Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards. Earlier, SRH traded in T. Natarajan from Delhi Capitals in place of Zeeshan Ansari.

Meanwhile, there are some trade rumors related to Hardik Pandya. There are several franchises interested in having the senior all-rounder, and Punjab Kings are among the front-runners.

MI reportedly want Arshdeep Singh with keeper-batter Vishnu Vinod in the package. If this happens, it will be among the biggest IPL trades ever.
