Ruturaj Gaikwad wants to win IPL 2023 for MS Dhoni, reveals Suresh Raina

Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL trophy 4-times out of the 14 season they played.

Chennai Super Kings will play their 10th IPL Final on Sunday at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Out of the 14 seasons, MS Dhoni-led CSK have qualified for the finals 10th time. CSK defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs at Chepauk in Qualifier 1 to become the first team in the IPL 2023 to secure a place for the summit clash. Everyone is praising MS Dhoni’s leadership skills once again after CSK thrashed Titans convincingly on Tuesday. Former CSK member Suresh Raina also talked about Dhoni’s simple strategies for doing magic for the team and also his chat with young CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikswad. Gaikwad won the Player of the Match award for his 60 runs innings against GT.

Former CSK legend Suresh Raina talking about CSK’s win and MS Dhoni in Jio Cinema said, “Look at how they reached the finals, 14 seasons and 10 finals. I think it is a great achievement. MS Dhoni as a captain of the team kept things very simple. Dhoni deserves credit for this, and once Ruturaj Gaikwad told me that CSK wants to win the title for Dhoni. Entire India wants to see Dhoni win the IPL”. Raina also talked about CSK’s dominance at Chepauk Stadium. He said, “What we got to see today is that it’s very challenging to beat CSK in Chennai”. MS Dhoni has won 4 IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings.

Former Indian vice-captain’s revelation on Ruturaj Gaikwad and CSK's willingness to win the title for CSK is another sign that MS Dhoni will be part of CSK dugout not as a player but in support staff from the next season. Dhoni after the Titans game also said that he has 8-9 months to make a decision, he will be part of the team if not as a player then as something else but he will contribute his pearls of wisdom with the Chennai Super Kings team. Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians will be taking on each other in Eliminator at Chepauk on Wednesday. The winner of this game will play against Gujarat Titans on Friday in Qualifier 2.
