Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravi Bishnoi enter top 10 as ICC announces latest T20I players' rankings
Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad and spinner Ravi Bishnoi have entered the top 10 list of ICC T20I players’ rankings.
Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi have entered into the top 10 of the latest ICC T20 International player rankings. The dynamic duo’s stellar performances during the recently concluded Australia T20 series, where India emerged victorious with a commanding 4-1.
Gaikwad scored a staggering 223 runs throughout the series. He even hit a brilliant century in the 3rd T20I and a fifty in 2nd T20I. Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi emerged as the spin maestro, clinching player of the series award with an impressive tally of nine wickets.

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s consistency and ability to seize crucial moments not only earned him appreciations but also secured him the 7th position in the ICC T20I rankings with an impressive 673 points. On the other hand, the young leg-spinner, Bishnoi, dazzled with his spin wizardry, earning him the 1st spot with 699 points.
Ravi Bishnoi had been included in the team over Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, who have been doing consistently well for India over the years. But Ravi Bishnoi proved that he can too provide the team with important breakthroughs. He has been consistent for his IPL franchise as well and provided them with great results.
As Indian team are preparing themselves for the upcoming South Africa tour. Gaikwad and Bishnoi’s inclusion in the squad for the tour starting on December 10th signals the continuation of their dominance on the international stage. The duo’s exceptional form and recent accomplishments suggest that they are poised to be key players in India’s quest for glory in South Africa.
Ruturaj Gaikwad’s leadership potential is also gaining attention, with many viewing him as a future leader for team India. His composed demeanour on the field and ability to lead by example have set the stage for a promising future captaincy role. He even led India to win gold medal in Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
