SA vs IND: India’s Predicted playing XI vs South Africa
1. Ruturaj Gaikwad:
Ruturaj Gaikwad was the top run-scorer for India in the five-match T20I series against Australia at home. He was the only player to score over 200 runs where the second-highest batter made less than 150. Gaikwad is a pretty confident player and he will look to do well in the coming game.
2. Shubman Gill :
Star opener Shubman Gill will be back at the top for India after a break from the last series. Gill’s inclusion will add more confidence in the batting-order as he is in red-hot form and is the leading run-scorer in 2023 across formats. He will look at himself look get some runs under his belt and get the confidence going.
3. Shreyas Iyer :
Shreyas Iyer is in India’s plans for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which is why he is one of the key players to watch out for. Iyer has been doing well in white-ball format in the last couple of months, and he will look to carry on his form and do well for his team.
4. Suryakumar Yadav (c) :
Stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav will be a key player in the middle-order. His presence will be an assurance for the team in the game. He will be the biggest threat for South Africa in the game. SKY can single-handedly take the game away, and he will enjoy batting in South Africa, where the ball comes onto the bat nicely.
5. Ishan Kishan (Wk) :
Ishan Kishan will be the first-choice keeper in the team. He is likely to bat at No. 5, where he usually bats in ODIs. The left-hander is a free-flowing batter who can take on the bowling at any time in the game. He scored two half-centuries in three innings against Australia and is in good form at the moment.
6. Rinku Singh :
Rinku Singh will be the player to watch out for. The southpaw is an exciting talent who can take on any bowling apart. With his attacking skills, he can do well in these conditions. But he showed that he can also adjust as per the situation. Rinku will be on India’s radar for the T20 World Cup, and he himself will look to do well.
7. Ravindra Jadeja :
Ravindra Jadeja will be another key player and the one who can win games in both departments. The all-rounder has been doing well for the team but he will be tested with the change in format. With his all-round ability a lot will depend on how Jadeja performs in the game because he can be a game-changer for India.
8. Ravi Bishnoi :
Player of the series against Australia, Ravi Bishnoi took nine wickets against Australia and became the No. 1 ranked bowler in T20I cricket. He bowled under pressure, especially in the powerplay, and did well. India will rely on him during the middle as he is pretty good at bowling crucial overs and he can do well against a slightly inexperienced South African batting attack.
9. Arshdeep Singh :
Arshdeep Singh bowled a superb final over in the final T20I against Australia and defended 10 runs against Matthew Wade. He will be pretty confident after that performance. His role will be very vital, as the conditions will favor him a lot and he can trouble South African top-order with his swing and accuracy.
10. Mohammed Siraj :
Mohammed Siraj will be back in the team and will be opening with the new ball. Siraj had decent outings at home during the World Cup 2023. Siraj can be lethal if the conditions are in his favor, and he will get help with the ball in the coming game.
11. Mukesh Kumar :
Mukesh Kumar will be the third pacer in the team, who will have the duty of taking wickets in the middle overs and containing the batters in the final overs. He was good in patches in recently concluded Australian T20I series and will be looking to make an impact once again with the ball.
