SA20 2024: Points table, most runs, most wickets, after Match 14 PR vs MICT

Paarl Royals defeated MI Cape Town by 59 runs at Boland Park in SA20 league round game.

Paar Royals took sweet revenge of their Friday evening defeat against MI Cape Town. Paarl defeated MICT comprehensively at Boland Park on Sunday. After a brilliant bowling display, Paarl Royals thrashed MICT by 59 runs. Royals spinners Bjorn Fortuin (3/15) and Tabraiz Shamsi (2/11) wreaked havoc on MICT batters and bundled them out on just 103 runs. MI Cape Town batters failed to put up a challenge against Paarl at Boland Park.

Batting first, Paarl Royals scored 162 runs in 20 overs. Paarl openers Jason Roy (68) and Jos Buttler (54) had a magnificent partnership of 116 runs for the first wicket. At first the wicket looked brilliant for batting but as the game progressed bowlers were on the top. Paarl struggled to finish the innings on high and the could only manage 46 runs in the last seven overs. MICT’s star performer of the season Ryan Rickelton got out on just five runs while Rassie van der Dussen was dismissed on a second ball duck. Bjorn Fortuin and Tabraiz Shamsi bowled brilliantly in the middle overs.

SA20 2024: Points Table :

Paarl Royals continue to dominate the SA20 2024 points table. Royals are currently table topper with 18 points in five games. They have won four and lost just one game in the ongoing season. MI Cape Town suffered their third defeat of this season and remains fourth in the points table. MI Cape Town have nine points in five games. Pretoria Capitals languishing at the bottom of the table with only four points and one win in the ongoing season. Defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape are placed third in the table with 10 points in four matches.

SA20 2024: Most Runs

MI Cape Town opener Ryan Rickelton had a poor game at Boland park but he is still the leading run-scorer of the SA20 2024. Rickelton has 342 runs, he scored five runs against Paarl Royals. Paarl Royals opener Jos Buttler jumps second in this list after his 54 runs knock against MI Cape Town. He has 223 runs in five innings. MICT opener Rassie van der Dussen is third in the list with 210 runs. He was dismissed on second ball duck. Durban’s Super Giants wicket-keeper Heinrich Klaasen is fourth in the list with 194 runs. Pretoria Capitals opener Will Jacks is now fifth in the table with 165 runs.

Durban’s Super Giants pacer Reece Topley is third with eight wickets.Paarl Royals spinner Tabraiz Shamsi is fourth with six wickets. Paarl Royals Obed McCoy is fifth in this list with six wickets. McCoy picked up two wickets against MICT.
